Mercedes

Mercedes, Uruguay is a beautiful old city with a population of 40,000 situated along the shore of the Rio Negro in the North west part of Uruguay. 

We reach our our hunt headquarters at  Estancia Ninette ,after a 50 minute charter flight from Montevideo and a 30 minute drive from Mercedes. 

Estancia Ninette very comfortably accommodates 8 - 16 persons and most hunts are less than 20 minutes drive away. Here, depending on the time of year, we hunt all species. Fishing is also close by in the river in front of the lodge or in small streams nearby and is mostly "catch & release", although we can keep a few for "the pot".

There is a  excellent Golf course at Fray Bentos about 40 minutes drive from Estancia Ninette and is well worth a round for those whose other passion is golf.

Colonia

Colonia is a magnificent 17th century city maintained as a historical monument by the Uruguayan government. We reach our hunt headquarters near Colonia, after a 2 hour drive from Montevideo. 

Here we stay at the Colonia Suiza Inn, where fine meals, a swimming pool and friendly hospitality await you after a day in the fields. Around Colonia, we hunt mostly doves, with some pigeon shooting, with most drives less than 30 minutes to the fields.
